Klampit 140

Since the launch of our new PowerClamp this is a discontinued line but is still available for technical DIY'ers who may need a clamp to provide 2nd level protection for MPPT regulators from over-voltage damage. 

A Klampit will instantly place a short across the Smart Drive PMA if the voltage ever exceeds the rating of the Klampit. Sorry we only have 140v stock left.

It only shorts the PMA and not the input capacitors of the MPPT regulator (reverse flow is diode blocked).

This device can be used to protect 150 MPPT regulators from over voltage damage when deployed on Smart Drive hydro and wind turbines up to 20 amp short circuit current. The device will reset once the PMA rotation is stopped. It must be mounted on a suitable large heat sink.
